Warehouse lighting is often an afterthought for many Facility Managers. Our belief is that it is the most critical aspect of any warehouse operation.

The biggest mistake is the following requirement stated in most projects Scope of Work:
“Interior warehouse lighting shall be provided for 25-foot candle average at 3’ AFF… ”
The question should be asked…is the visual task on the horizontal or vertical plane? Do you really need 25 FC of light on the horizontal plane? Perhaps, but if you have racking this approach will begin a chain of events that can adversely impact your new lighting system.
